堤逢叶による初音ミク作品21作目になる「夕凪に抱かれて」の英語リメイクバージョン。
「Miracles of Love 〜君に会えて〜」に引き続き編曲大井翔平、英作詞北前佐枝子、演奏The Western League。
昭和歌謡を思わせる原曲のテイストは一新され、Roberta Janelle Stottのスケールの大きいボーカルを中心に、より洋楽色の強いリメイクとなった。
巧みな転調を織り交ぜた原曲の緻密な構成が忠実に再現されているが、フェイドアウトであったエンディングは伊藤公了による圧巻のドラムソロにより劇的な展開で締めくくられている。

ひとつひとつ大事に想いを形にしていこうと真面目に曲作りをはじめてしまうと、いつの間にかゆったりしたバラード曲ばかりになってしまう。その気分を変えたくて今まで使ってこなかったリズムと曲調でミク曲を作ってみようと試みた曲だったと思います。
ポップスとしては長い7分近い大作ですが、どこも削るところがない、素直に最後まで流れていく音楽になってます。
Release Dateで見ると、「君に会えて」の翌月に作ってたんですね。そういう熱のこもった時期だったのでしょう。初音ミクがいなかったらこの曲も世の中に生まれることはなかったはずです。 -

原曲が日本語の抑揚を生かした歌謡曲的なメロディーだったため、英語版の制作は難しいのでないかと予測もあったのですが、より積極的にメロディーを改変することで、まったく別の洋楽として生まれ変わったように思います。
アレンジではコードの組み方のセンスとコーラスが素晴らしいですね。全体の流れは原曲と変わらないのですが、独特なフィーリングにより別世界の展開を聴かせてくれています。
「Miracles of Love」に続く英語版2作目となり、英作詞、演奏、歌とすべてがより洗練されたものになっていると思いました。
